Manse Pride -viikon sateenkaarevaa ohjelmaa Postimuseossa!
Radikaaleja käsitöitä ja tekstejä, tervetuloa mukaan!
Postimuseossa noudatetaan turvallisemman tilan periaatteita.
Sateenkaareva ilta radikaalien ristipistojen ja radikaalien tekstien parissa. Tule ompelemaan yhdessä ristipistotöitä ja kuuntelemaan samalla antirasististen ja QPOC-tekstien ääneen lukemista.
Ristipistot ilman rajoja -tapahtumassa on tarjolla ompelutarvikkeita, mallikirjaimia ja ompeluneuvontaa. Voit halutessasi tuoda mukaan myös oman, jo työn alla olevan käsityösi. Kokoontumisen aikana museon lukijat lukevat ääneen Manse Priden Yhtä suurta perhettä -teemaan sopivia tekstejä QPOC- eli mustilta ja ruskeilta queer-kirjoittajilta. Luemme tekstejä suomeksi ja englanniksi. Jos sinulla on teksti-ideoita, ota yhteyttä museoon (mari.liimatainen@postimuseo.fi) ennen tapahtumaa.
Tapahtuma sopii kaikentasoisille ompelijoille. Kannattaa miettiä ennen tapahtumaa valmiiksi oma aihe ristipistotyölle. Lyhyt, muutaman sanan teksti tai slogan on mahdollista saada valmiiksi tapahtuman aikana!
”Radikaalit ristipistot” ovat käsityöaktivismia eli craftivismia. Feministiset ja yhdenvertaisuutta ajavat ompeluseurat ovat tiloja, jossa voi jutella muiden ompelijoiden kanssa tai vain keskittyä itseilmaisuun käsityön kautta.
Huom: Sama tapahtuma järjestetään kahdessa kaupungissa, 11. kesäkuuta Tampereella ja 25. kesäkuuta Helsingissä. Nämä Postimuseon ja Merkin yhdessä järjestämät tapahtumat ovat osa Manse Priden ja Helsinki Priden virallista ohjelmaa.

An evening of Radical cross-stitch and radical reading as well. Let’s cross-stitch together and listen to anti-racist and QPOC texts being read aloud.
Sew your own Pride text or slogan onto fabric with cross-stitch! The Cross-stitch without Borders event offers sewing supplies, alphabet patterns and sewing advice. You can also bring your own handicraft that is already in progress.
During the gathering, the museum’s readers will read aloud texts by QPOC (queer people of color) writers, according to the Manse Pride theme “One Big Family”. We will read the texts in Finnish and English. If you have text suggestions, please contact the museum in advance!
The event is suitable for stitchers of all levels. It is recommended to choose your cross-stitch topic before the event already. It is possible to complete a short, few-word text or slogan during the event.
”Radical cross-stitch” is a part of the craftivist movement. Feminist and equality-oriented sewing clubs are spaces where you can chat with other participants or just focus on self-expression through craft.

The same event will be held in two cities, on 11 June in Tampere and 25 June in Helsinki. These events are co-organized by the Postal Museum and Museum Merkki.
